I'm just gonna guess you can extract it to any directory.

personally I'd recommend bloodshed. I was teaching myself C++ using bloodshed and their tutorials before the semester started but I had to put it off till summer because of classes. Even though it is more powerful than anything needed to write soda programs if anyone here wants to move on to bigger more complex programs it can be good to have started in a compiler that has the power of bloodshed so you are used to it and don't have to learn a new compiler.

To those who are using QuickBasic: DO NOT use goto as a primary control method when creating your programs! This has been known to cause severe brain damage.

Remember: FOR and DO... loops are your friend. IF x THEN GOTO will lead to programs that are very difficult to modify/maintain.

I have nothing against bloodshed. It is very good for doing projects. Im working on project with two other people in my class and we are doing it in bloodshed. Miracle C is not good for projects. It is simple and somewhat small. If people do get into programming and like it, then i would recommend a better compiler like Bloodshed.

edlinfan, i am unable to post the file for your review of it. I sent a copy to cactus's email.

I will try to get a link up to savefile, at the VERY latest thursday. Which is 48 hours from now.

Wow... this sounds interesting. So far all the computer languages I have tried are QuickBASIC, TrueBASIC, Visual Basic, JavaScript, VBScript, and ActionScript. I'm currently learning Java too, but I haven't done anything with it yet.

Thats quit a few there. Ive used C# heavily, but i would not recommend it, python, C, and a little bit of basic.

Im in a freshman in college majoring in Computer Engineering. I want to become a software developer. The curriculum at this college covers a little python, C, C++, java, assembly, and i think thats about it.

Seeing how everybody is about to fall off their chair in anticipation, if cactus does not email me in about 5 hours then i will post the manual, installer... There may be a few grammatical errors, but i have corrected all i could find.

Ok, Here is the complete manual, installer for miracle C and a few examples. Let me know what you all think of it. It is almost 16 pages and 6200 words. There are several illustrations and a few pics in it. I hope you enjoy.

What was I supposed to email you?

Well, I received your message the attachment. I haven't opened it yet, because I'm not allowed to download it on my dad's laptop. I'll download it when I go on my computer.

I believe i put something like "if there is anything that needs corrected or if there is a part that needs more, let me know." or something like that.

Oh well, i hope people will find this pdf helpful.

lol, learning C by tutorial... and I just noticed about 5 errors in thaat tiny snippet of code... amazing... didn't know you could have 5 errors in 5 lines...

anyway, if I manage to learn fast enough with this tutorial I could help with basic stuff ;)

*reads PDF*

Good! I would improve grammar and wording in a lot of places, but I can't edit PDF files.

I hoped it was halfway decent. I typed it all up in about 4 to 5 hours. I was flying through it to get it done.
