spartan- that's very very good. Now see if you can build chains with 2 waves going at it (look at my pub to see what I'm talking about... check "many_waves").
look what happens if you build the diameters, turn the gravuty higher and the wave speed a *little* down.

Thanks for the help roey, it works well now:

It reminds me a little of breakingwave in the default models.

ok, here is something a little offtopic,:
something rather strange hapens to Internet Exlporer, when I type in the URL of sodaplay, the best way to describe what happens is this: IE shut down itself. also this is the only URL where this happens. Can somebody please tell me wat to do??

wwolfie,

I don't know what to say about your IE dilema. What exactly are you typing in?

to keep my "example" account organized I name every model for the constructor it is intended for. "...1" means that's that first model I've made to answer your question. in the future the numbers will go up.

that way I know the relative time something was made, who it is for, how many times i've helped someone, etc. And I'll never delete anything from that account so the links will always work for whoever reads this thread.

I'd like some help with this:

model. It doesnt quite move fast or fluid enough. Did i use the correct muscle wave amplitude?

RJ,

I made this from your original dimensions:

i used the guideline to make the legs equal lengths.

I need help. Whenever I make a model I click simulate and it gets all bent out of shape.

Example

How can I stop this from happening?

it looks like the reason is that you made the springs in construct, then moved them to a different length. Once you make a spring, its length cannot change from when you first made it. that is the concept behind a tension spring, but i have to go. I bet someone else can explain this more throughly(sp?), i have to go.

Jaj,
in the moment you create a spring, its length is determined. It will stay in that length.
A trick that I used often before is to first create the model, then drag the dots to the desired points, and then delete the springs between them. You can then put in new springs, without moving the dots from their new position, and enter simulation mode.
Most constructors also use grids (lines used for measuring lengths of springs, that forms a static lattice) or guidelines(lines used for measuring the length of springs, which is built separate for every model). This kind of help makes it possible to build all the complicated models in the zoo.

Happy sodaconstructing!

Here is a grid like axilux talked about.

I need help to make real walkers.
I made this:
http://sodaplay.com/constructor/player.htm?&getmodel=axilux+Triangular_lattice_walker
It walks, but I can't fix the legs to walk better.
How do you create well-functioning legs?
