Ai for dummies   posted: 24-Jul-02 09:16   »»
are there any plans (in the distant future) to release an AI for dummies application, where someone who knows some programming languages has done all the hard work and those of us too busy to learn C++ etc can just plug in values and x=10,000 and voila! 10,000 generations of increasingly perfect sodamodels are created? that would be very nice for peeps like me who want to get in on this AI business, but dont want it so much as to learn a language.

im a child of the silverplatter generation

I think that's a great idea chuddy, and not only for non-programmers. Folks who do want to dig into the code will find it much more accessible if there's some kind of "entry-level" AI to modify and refine in an open source style.

err?? You mean that someone makes an application to teach you coding, or an application that makes an application, cause there are loads of working ai applications, mostly working the way you dont want them, and the ones that start off from scratch do this:
Make a wobbly piece of sodacrap, that wobbles, or doesnt move, for the next 2000 generations nothing improves, then suddenly it goes better
And then it gets worse again, and surprisingly, the max fitness changed to "-1.0', no idea how...

for those who cant read my posts, here is the "simplified English" translation:
I dont completely understand what you mean there, and the existing ai's aren't very good...
