Mins racer   posted: 11-Oct-04 13:54   »»
There is a new version of Mins which is now a race application. You can use it as a replacement for the sodarace application, it uses the same XML protocol on port 7777 as sodarace does. I've tested Mins with the Miro and the Wodka optimizers and both work.

The advantage of Mins is that cheating is more difficult, which should lead to more interesting models. It is also a bit faster than the standard sodarace, especially if you turn the automatic timeout reduction on. The source code is available so for Java programmers it should be quite easy to use the Mins classes directly instead of using XML.

You can read more about Mins here:

http://mins.sourceforge.net

and here:

Here's a challenge for your AI program: try to beat the time of 69.0433 frames for the following terrain in Mins:

Hi Stefan.
I have integrated mins into wodka.
http://wodka.sourceforge.net/Breeder.jnlp
Just klick new, then finish in the wizard and start.
Mins should be automatically started then. You have to click AcceptAll on mins and the breeding process is started.
It works fine and I have already breeded some models.
Thank for mins
